Монгол бичгээр хэвлэгдсэн энэхvv сонинг МАХН-ын Төв хорооны 37 дугаар тогтоолын дагуу Улаанбаатар хотын Нам, Эвлэлийн хорооноос эрхлэн, хагас хэвлэлийн хуудсаар долоо хоног тутам 500 хувь, дараагийн жилvvдэд нэг хэвлэлийн хуудсаар 800-2000 хувь хэвлэн гаргаж байсан нь архивын болон бусад баримтад тэмдэглэгдэн vлджээ. About Us Ulaanbaatar newspaper’s four generation of history started as it was first published as Ulaanbaatar Times on January 1, 1999. UB Times has three affiliate publications of a weekend, humor and commercial classifieds and adverts editions, which are called as Huree & Hemnel, Huree & Tonshuul and Huree Zar respectfully. UB Times has become the sixth national daily newspaper in 2003 by eight-page prints five days a week plus its other weekend editions. Poet and artist Dr. J.Saruulbuyan is working as Editor in Chief of UB Times, which has a history of 75 years, and is a veteran publication of Mongolian media sector. UB Times has 43 staff working in ten different editorial, printing administration and financial desks. Editorial desks are divided into investigative, politics, economics, arts, culture, sports, world news, and metropolitan news departments. Also UB times has a business advertisement managerial desk, IT and a photograhy studio.
Profile History of metropolitan news started on April 5, 1929 at the resolution No.37 of Central Committee of the Mongolian People’s Revolutionary Party with “Ulaanbaatar City News” newspaper, which was printed 500 copies a week in traditional Mongolian script. It was recorded in state archives notes that the newspaper was printed in 800-2000 copies annually in the following years. Due to crisis of cash, the newspaper was temporary suspended its operations in the past. But it managed to deliver 80 editions to its readers. From January 26, 1955, the newspaper was printed with a new name “Ulaanbaataryn Medee” (Ulaanbaatar News), which was the second stage of its history. It was printed three times a week and its circulation reached to 30,000 in 1969. And, the highest ever circulation was 82,000 copies in the years from 1986 to 1990. It is a proven capability that the newspaper was delivering up-to-date news and information, and had good feedback from the readers back. Ulaanbaataryn Medee had printed a total of 5,715 editions between 1955 and 1989, during which D.Urjinbadam, D.Shagdarsuren, J.Gombo, B.Yavuukhulan, G.Dugar, Kh.Arsad, Ts.Munkhjargal, and D.Chuluunbat were working as editor in chief. On May 1, 1990, the newspaper’s third generation, Ulaanbaatar, was out with 64 pages in A3 paper size format, which was the first ever largest newspaper printed in Mongolian news industry. The newspaper created cultural prize Khangarid Award, and Wrestling Cup of Arslan Title Holders, which were well received by mass readership of Mongolian media. Many newspapers have born from Ulaanbaatar such as Ulaanbaatar Evening, Nugel & Buyan, Altan Bosgo, Alag Shaazgai and Utga Zohiol. Ulaanbaatar newspaper printed 1,675 editions between 1990 and 1998, during which Dr.U.Khurelbaatar was working as editor in chief.
